Synopsis: “THE OWEN HART FOUNDATION: A LOOK BACK”

On May 23rd 1999 the shocking and unexpected death of globally renowned WWF (now known as WWE) wrestler Owen Hart stunned and shook the world with disbelief. Martha Hart, Owen Hart’s young widow and mother of their two small children, chose to turn tragedy into triumph by creating an extremely meaningful and everlasting legacy entitled The Owen Hart Foundation. In this inspiring and profoundly moving short documentary film the humanitarian spirit of Owen Hart lives on through the tireless philanthropic efforts of Martha Hart and the good works of The Owen Hart Foundation, which helps people with limited resources but unlimited potential. A look back over the past 15 years takes audiences on an incredibly emotional journey of the heart wrenching struggles associated with Owen’s loss, the epic search for justice in a very public and often ugly legal battle that ensued between Martha Hart vs. WWF (WWE), and the enormous transformation and rise of The Owen Hart Foundation and its founder Martha Hart.
