This live comedy event will mark the 13th Anniversary of the Owen Hart Foundation and the work they do within the Calgary community. The Owen Hart Foundation at the Calgary Foundation has proudly grown into a staple charity within the Calgary community while serving as an incredible celebration of Owen Harts’ life. For over a decade The Owen Hart Foundation’s annual event has helped raise much needed funds for education and affordable housing for individuals with limited resources but unlimited potential. During this time, The Owen Hart Foundation has presented legendary performers such as Russell Brand, Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Cosby, Paul Anka, Neil Sedaka, Bob Newhart, Howie Mandel, and Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band. This year, The Owen Hart Foundation is extremely proud to announce the Academy Award® winning actor and multiple GRAMMY® winning performer Robin Williams with special guest, David Steinberg, will be in Calgary on Friday, December 7th. Robin Williams is an outstanding one-of-a-kind comedian, a brilliant actor and humble humanitarian. “Given that this will be Robin Williams and David Steinberg’s first performance together in Calgary makes those of us at The Owen Hart Foundation all the more elated and overwhelmed to be presenting them,” stated Martha Hart, founder of The Owen Hart Foundation. “The Event Group is thrilled to be producing this event featuring Robin Williams. Robin Williams first captured the attention of the world as ‘Mork from Ork’ on the hit series Mork & Mindy, and since then has appeared or lent his vocal talents in a number of blockbutsers including, Good Will Hunting, Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, Night at the Museum (1 & 2), Aladdin, Robots and Happy Feet to name a few. Williams’ will next be seen in Justin Zackham’s comedy, The Big Wedding set to be released next April.
David Steinberg, stand-up comedian and famous for being funny on both sides of the camera, has directed many shows, including Friends, Newhart, Seinfeld, Mad About You, Weeds and most recently Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiam.
